Georgian highly competitive programs

Highly competitive programs, or oversubscribed programs, are programs of instruction for which the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of applicants required to fill the program . Due to limited seats available in these programs, applicants will be ranked upon academic achievements compared to other applicants in that intake pool.

On this page, you will find a current list of Georgian’s highly competitive programs and the recommended minimum grade in the required course(s). The grade cutoff is generally higher than the minimum grades required and may change each year or intake. Meeting the recommended minimum requirement or the general admissions requirements does not guarantee an offer of admission.

Important Information

Feb. 1 is the equal consideration deadline for applying to highly competitive programs. Apply on or before this date to receive equal consideration for admission to programs starting the following academic year . After this date, we will consider applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until the programs are full.

Waitlists will be established when all seats in the program are filled. Applicants on the waitlist will be ranked based on their academic achievement. Should a seat become available applicants will be notified that an offer is being extended.

Applicants to highly competitive programs are encouraged to confirm their offer and pay their deposit as soon as possible, as deadlines are subject to change based on demand and availability of seats.

Georgian reserves the right to withdraw an offer of admission both prior to and after its acceptance by an applicant or student because of insufficient applications or registrations, over-acceptance of offers of admission, or for other such reasons. Prompt notice will be given to all affected applicants and students. Georgian shall not accept any liability for the consequences of these changes.

Pathway Programs

Applicants to Highly Competitive programs who do not meet the required grade cutoff to become eligible for an offer may recieve an offer to an alternate pathway program. You are encouraged to accept the offer, as these pathway programs will help you to gain valuable post-secondary experience and could increase your overall grade average to possibly become eligible for a highly competitive program in the future.
